About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC Foundation team as a Sport Development Coordinator. The LFC Foundation is growing their sports provision. You will be responsible for delivering a variety of sport sessions across our sports programmes in both school and community settings. You will also manage the day-to-day running of the programmes.
What will you be doing?
- Deliver projects in line with the project plan ensuring all KPIs are met
- Ensure quality and safeguarding standards are achieved and maintained
- Ensure equality and diversity are considered in all decision-making
- Work closely with local and regional sports clubs, NGBs, and partner organisations
- Support the development of a talent ID pathway for young people
- Encourage and mentor participants to join our programmes
- Deliver social action sessions, workshops, tournaments, and events
- Ensure effective collection of monitoring and evaluation data
- Provide timely reports and analysis of performance
- Support the creation of a marketing plan to promote the programme
- Undertake case studies and PR opportunities in line with Club and Foundation guidelines
- Provide content for LFC Foundation social media
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have strong experience in coaching, planning, and delivering sports sessions to young people, with recognised coaching qualifications (Level 2 and above) across various sports. Project management skills and the ability to organise tournaments and events are essential. Knowledge of the sport sector, including sports clubs and NGBs, is important. Excellent communication skills for building stakeholder relationships are required. Experience designing sport-based curricula is desirable.

The main base will be Anfield Sports Community Centre, Liverpool, with occasional work at other locations across Merseyside and travel within England and Wales.
