The Role

We are seeking to appoint a passionate, dedicated and motivated Teacher of MFL, with excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom presence. You will:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive MFL lessons, primarily in Spanish, to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Inspire a love of languages, supporting both written and oral language development.
  • Use data and assessment effectively to raise student outcomes.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the Academy, including trips, clubs, and enrichment activities.
  • Support the development of MFL across the curriculum.

Desirable: An interest in contributing to our wider MFL enrichment programme, including the opportunity to support more able students through Mandarin. (Specialist knowledge of Mandarin is not essential.)

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Has a degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Spanish, MFL education).
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and an ability to deliver high-quality teaching.
  • Is committed to inclusive and aspirational education.
  • Understands effective MFL pedagogy, particularly around oral and written skills.
  • Has a passion for building student confidence, resilience, and cultural understanding.
