My client designs and delivers fire services to commercial and domestic clients. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Manchester on a permanent basis.
The Fire & Security Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar ideally in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 yearsβ experience in a similar role would be preferred
- 3D CAD Design Experience in the fire industry
- Mechanical / electrical Installation experience would be beneficial
- Be a hands-on, practical engineer
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Be a team player with a positive attitude
- Be a mentor to junior/graduate engineers
- Have a full UK driving licence
The Fire & Security Engineer role will involve:
- Hands-on servicing, installation and maintenance of fire and security systems
- Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
- Working within a small team to deliver a quality service to customers
- Travelling to and from customer sites for around 2 hours a day
- Occasional further travel in the UK e.g. to Scotland or Wales
