Job Title: Solution Architect

Location: Manchester (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)

Rate: £600-£645 per working day (Inside IR35)

Duration: 6-months (potential extension)

About the role:

We\’re seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join their dynamic infrastructure team, responsible for designing and delivering infrastructure solutions that enable product delivery and drive transformation. You\’ll play a critical role in ensuring their services remain performant, secure, resilient, and cost-effective.

As a Solution Architect, you\’ll work alongside Engineering Leads and internal/third-party teams to translate business requirements into robust infrastructure designs. From conception through to technical delivery, you\’ll provide leadership and expertise to ensure successful implementation.

What you will need to have:

• Significant experience designing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Middleware, Storage, Networking, Databases).

• Proven track record in end-to-end project delivery across Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall environments.

• Experience with containerised microservices architectures and cloud methodologies.

• Practical experience in migrating legacy systems to cloud-based solutions (e.g., private cloud, GCP, Azure).

• Familiarity with technologies such as Windows Server, Linux/UNIX, SQL, Oracle, VMware, Citrix, IBM P Series, SAN, F5, WebSphere, and associated enterprise infrastructure.
