Vital Heating Solutions is looking for a dedicated and organised Commercial Project Supervisor to oversee all commercial projects across the North West. We work with various prestigious and commercial clientele across the North West; our contracts cover facilities inclusive of education, medical, leisure, and commercial sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on critical projects with full operational oversight and career growth potential.
The Commercial Project Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Managing and ensuring all commercial work is completed to a high standard and in line with agreed deadlines
- Creating and maintaining detailed diary schedules for each project
- Attending bi-weekly meetings with the Managing Director, General Manager, and Office Manager to review project progress, team matters, and raise any issues
- Communicating directly with the Office Manager regarding logistics, staffing, and material requirements
- Liaising with the Managing Director on project planning and preparation, new customer onboarding, costing and pricing breakdowns, and resolving any issues related to work carried out by you or your team
- Reporting any customer concerns about job performance to the Project Manager
- Passing on any direct customer concerns to the Project Manager for further action
Staff Supervision Duties:
- Supervising all employees and subcontractors on commercial projects
- Ensuring work is completed strictly according to project specifications β no additional work unless approved
- Upholding site Health & Safety regulations at all times
- Ensuring all staff are equipped with correct PPE
- Leading, organising, and supporting your team on all jobs
- Reporting any staff concerns or issues during scheduled bi-weekly meetings
Deliveries & Material Management:
- Inspecting all deliveries immediately upon arrival
- Photographing and reporting any damaged items before unloading
- Documenting and reporting any missing items
- Signing all delivery notes and storing them securely
- Ensuring delivery notes are checked, kept safe, and returned to Head Office
Authority & Communication:
You will lead all commercial jobs, working closely with the Managing Director to ensure preparation is complete. Strong communication with both office staff and field teams is essential to ensure smooth job execution.
Location & Hours:
Projects are based throughout the North West, with occasional travel and overnight stays required. Candidates must be flexible and available to adapt to project demands.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and team coordination abilities
- Confident managing logistics, team supervision, and site safety
- Hands-on and proactive approach to solving challenges
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification (Site Supervisor/Manager Safety Training Scheme)
- Valid First Aid training certification
- CSCS card holder (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- Valid DBS certification (Disclosure and Barring Service)
- Health & Safety training β desirable but not essential
- Proven previous experience in a similar supervisory role within the construction or mechanical sectors
