Job Purpose:
To provide a prompt service, principally on the safe storage of all parts associated with the business and effective service on System Transactions and control the supply of inventory (Stock Control).
Key Responsibilities:
- To store all materials and equipment in defined locations.
- Correctly handle all Stores materials using appropriate equipment as per defined working practices.
- To utilize the Business system to transact and physically receipt, issue and return materials as required.
- To understand and communicate effectively at all levels, on all materials, equipment, procedures, methods, techniques, working practices and objectives of the Stores and associated areas.
- Maintain Stores accuracy and also ensure compliance with cycle count requirements.
- To assist in the prompt resolution of problems affecting the cost, quality, delivery and safety objectives of the Stores.
- To work with Management and other Departments on continually improved methods, systems and techniques for efficiency, service and safety of the Stores.
Education:
Educated to GCSE Maths, English
IT Literate
Knowledge and Skills:
- Good communication skills in both written and verbal.
- Materials handling training
- To have a working knowledge of PCs
- A full driving license - must be over 21 to drive the Company van.
- Fork Lift License preferred but not essential
- Previous stores & warehouse experience
