We are currently seeking an engineering professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of qualifications for a well-established training provider. The Mechanical Instructor role will require you to be involved in teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking L3 qualifications. You will be a time served Mechanical Engineer with planned and reactive maintenance experience, along with machine operation experience. Process experience is desirable but not essential.
Ideally you will have experience delivering training and will possess either an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above). If you do not hold these qualifications but have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and hold sound experience in the engineering sector, my client would like to hear from you. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
You will be based at a training centre in Scunthorpe, but may be required to visit other centres in the Humberside region, so you will need a full UK driving license and use of your own car.

THE ROLE:
To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility. Training learners in the centre towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards. We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player and have a 'hands on approach' to work within this rewarding environment.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 4 years' relevant occupational experience within Mechanical Engineering
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Experience of working with young people
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
- Level 3 (or above) occupational qualification
- Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable)
- Teaching qualification (desirable)
This position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance.
