The predicted salary is between 30000 - 48000 £ per year.
The radiology nursing team provide an extensive range of cover throughout the radiology department, in the Angio lab, CT, ultrasound and day case units within radiology at both HRI and CRH. The nursing team assist the radiologist with interventional radiological procedures, from diagnostic to therapeutic. This ranges from assisting with a biopsy or drain in ultrasound or CT to being the scrubbing nurse during a vascular case.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing care for patients from admission to discharge in the radiology day case units.
- Assisting the radiologist with CT and ultrasound, biopsies, drains and aspirations.
- Acting as a scrub or circulating nurse in the angio lab during more complex interventional radiology procedures.
- Carrying out pre-assessments.
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care, escalating concerns to relevant practitioners.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centred care.
We employ more than 6,500 staff who deliver compassionate care from our two main hospitals, Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, as well as in community sites, health centres and in patients’ homes. We also have almost 150 volunteers at CHFT.
We provide a range of services including urgent and emergency care; medical; surgical; maternity; gynaecology; critical care; children’s and young people’s services; end of life care and outpatient and diagnostic imaging services. We also provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres.
