Personal Assistant required in Skelmersdale – LILS/EM/OG

Do you have some free time to provide support to a young man to enable him to access the community?

He is interested in going to the gym and in the Jacuzzi, cinemas, possibly visit local food restaurants/shops.

The role can be physically challenging at times.

This role is for 5.5hours per week during term time x 38weeks

and 11hrs in the school holidays x 14weeks.

5.6 weeks annual leave entitlement | Rate of pay: £11.44 per hour

Duties include:

Support to access the community

Help with some aspects of personal care

Food preparation and prompting to eat/drink regularly to ensure adequate fluid intake

Support with dressing/undressing for swimming.

We are looking for an individual with an understanding or some knowledge of autism. Training can also be provided.

Preferably a male carer as personal care is required.

Car driver is essential including proof of business cover.

Must be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
