The Finance Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for all financial aspects of the company. You will play a critical role in driving the organisation’s financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and supporting sustainable growth. This role requires a proactive leader with a commercial mindset and a deep understanding of the financial services and lending landscape.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and lending-specific laws.
- Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and capital management to meet operational and strategic requirements.
- Develop funding strategies and relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, the board, and external stakeholders.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent with a strong academic background.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director, CFO, or senior financial leader within the financial services sector (preferably lending).
- Experience leading strategic financial planning and managing complex financial operations.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
