Location: Dunstable, hybrid working, minimum 3 days per week in the office.

As a Commercial Analyst for our restaurant business, you will work within our wider restaurants product and brand team to shape our future food strategy across our 1,200 hotels and branded restaurants. This is part of our next growth stage to expand our Food and Beverage business.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will collaborate with teams in commercial, finance, marketing, and product development to provide detailed analysis, trend data, and performance tracking of our food range strategy. Your insights will support effective decision-making to ensure we deliver the right product positioning for our customers.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Providing a clear view of Whitbread’s food pricing position and making range recommendations across our hotels and restaurants.
  • Understanding strengths and weaknesses both locally and nationally, staying updated on industry trends and innovations in F&B.
  • Implementing, measuring, and optimizing pricing strategies across our restaurant business to achieve market position and sales targets while offering value to our guests.
  • Tracking the success of campaigns, promotions, and trials, providing key recommendations, monitoring risks, and measuring KPI performance.
  • Offering insights and analysis into range and menu decisions to ensure campaigns meet KPIs and objectives.
  • Analyzing MI data, market, and guest insights to identify opportunities for pricing strategies that maximize performance and profitability, driving growth at the dish and range level.

  • Experience in a similar analyst role within the F&B industry or retail merchandising, pricing, or range planning, with strong knowledge of commercial data.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to interpret multiple data sources and make informed recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage and influence internal stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage workload and respond to changing priorities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, with the confidence to challenge and make objective recommendations.
