We are recruiting for an Engineering Test Technician to join a leading organisation in the test and measurement industry. This company designs and manufactures high-performance equipment used globally to monitor and regulate manufacturing processes. The Role:
As an Engineering Test Technician, you will carry out detailed testing on new and legacy electronic products, maintain equipment to UKAS standards, and assist senior engineers on larger projects. You will also write automated test scripts and generate comprehensive reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test products using equipment like Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analysers, Power Supplies (including HV), etc.
- Write automation scripts in C++ (Visual Studio).
- Fault-find down to component level and carry out soldering.
- Maintain calibration records and liaise with calibration providers.
- Communicate with other teams to resolve test-related issues.
What We’re Looking For:
- BTEC Level 3 / A-Level in an engineering field (ideally electronics) or similar experience.
- Hands-on testing experience and familiarity with test equipment.
- Strong electronic knowledge and component-level fault-finding.
- Experience with ATE systems and test automation (C++ ideal).
