Vision for Education are working with a welcoming school in Durham to recruit a PMLD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This is a full-time supply role starting immediately – a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in an inclusive, supportive environment.

As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, supporting their development, and promoting independence. Strong communication skills are essential, and a moving and handling qualification would be an advantage.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in primary or secondary education
• A background in supporting pupils with SEND
• A genuine passion for supporting the progress of SEND learners
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
