Web Development Manager – UK Remote – ARD1068525 Purpose of the Role We are delighted to be offering a fantastic opportunity for a talented Web Development Manager to join our friendly and growing team. We are looking for someone with strong technical development experience who has worked as a leader, as you will be responsible for managing web development and solution delivery across Advisory business owners and stakeholders. You will lead a team of developers, ensuring the timely delivery of secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and IT Operations, to align development efforts with business objectives. What you will do Provide leadership to the web development team, ensuring the continued successful delivery of change requests through the SDLC Collaborate with the Head of Core Systems to define and execute change strategy and roadmap, ensuring these are in line with the company’s business goals. Oversee the complete software (i.e., change) development life cycle for the solutions, from requirements gathering and analysis, through design, development, testing, and deployment. Manage resource allocation and project prioritisation to help maximise return on investment and deliver on key business objectives. Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including vendors and offshore development teams. Help to develop, promote, and enforce best practices in software engineering, including code quality, security, and scalability. Help deliver on the wider strategic goals of the insurance group by implementing reusable and maintainable solutions. Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies to improve business processes and drive growth. Ensure new releases and developments are transitioned into the Production environment smoothly, with minimal impact to existing services. Who we’re looking for You will be a leader of web development teams and a team player with experience in agile delivery. You will need skills in managing internal and external stakeholders and vendors. Experience of working in the insurance market is a bonus, but not essential. Knowledge of working in a financially regulated corporate environment, however, would be a distinct advantage. You must be self-motivated, customer focused, confident, resilient, flexible, have a strong attention to detail, able to multi-task whilst being innovative, proactive and open-minded. Communication skills across all mediums are important too as is the ability to relay technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Applicants should have an aptitude for writing and maintaining documentation, identifying process improvements and adhering to Change Management principles.
