A Machine Operative is required to join an industrial recycling company in the Wednesbury / Darlaston area. You will be responsible for the running of a newly installed, industrial-grade, battery shredding machine.

The shredder processes large amounts of batteries, shredding through multiple stages, before automatically sorting the end materials. You will be responsible for consistently running the machine, ensuring there is always a steady flow of materials going in. Your duties will include;

For this Machine Operative role, ideally you will have experience running machinery in an industrial setting, and you MUST be flexible to work rotating shifts, including nights.

Working days initially, moving onto a morning / afternoon 2-shift pattern after a few months, then eventually a 3-shift pattern including nights within 1-2 years. The hours / rates are;

The rate of pay includes shift allowance from day 1 whilst working days, so the rate won’t go up when moving onto rotating mornings / afternoons, however, when the night shift comes in, you will get an increase when working nights to £16.02.
