What you’ll be doing:
- Develop a good relationship with the MOD customer
- Manage and forecast both schedule and costs
- Work across multiple platforms liaising with various internal and external stakeholders at various levels
- Work closely with the customers and stakeholders to achieve a deliverable programme when there is uncertainty in the customer programme
- Compile bid submissions for follow-on phases of the programmes
- Provide clear direction to the development teams to enable the programmes to be delivered
- Provide clear reporting to both the customer and business
Your skills and experiences:
- Professional PM Qualification (eg. APM or PMI) and/or years of practical experience gained through application of Project Management
- Experience working on complex Engineering projects
- Developed communication and diplomacy skills working collaboratively with stakeholders
- Experience or understanding of the naval product domain
- Able to resolve project-related problems that do not have routine solutions

The Capability Development Insertion Group (CDIG) Portfolio Team:
Opportunity to join a multi-disciplined team who work in a matrix organisation dealing with a wide range of functions. The role provides the Project Management Leadership to deliver the Shared Infrastructure (SI) and Combat Management Systems (CMS) product upgrades to support the MoD’s new Maritime Electronic Warfare System Integration Capability (MEWSIC). This capability is being introduced into the Type 45, QEC, Type 31 and Type 26 platforms. Each platform is at a different development stage, requiring experience of the full lifecycle of bid, design, development, manufacture, delivery, trials and support.
