An opportunity has arisen for 2 Personal Assistants to provide support to a young male within his own home to remain independent and access the community. Our client is interested in crafting so somebody with similar interests would be ideal. There is a dog at the property so applicant must be comfortable with animals.

As a Personal Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Assisting with grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation.

  • Prompting to take medication and ordering it in good time.

  • Support with light domestic tasks.

  • Offering emotional support and encouragement to work towards our client feeling confident to access community activities in the near future.

Previous experience in a caring role is essential and experience/knowledge of autism & BPD would be ideal. A positive attitude and good work ethic is essential. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A driver with a full clean license is essential.

This is a job share for ideally 2 personal assistants. Hours available up to 17.5 per week (split equally) with a generous hourly rate of £11.50. Including 5.6weeks paid annual leave and access to a workplace pension.

The hours can be worked flexibly, to be discussed at interview but mainly requires support Mon-Fri with the occasional weekend required.
