As Group Tax Reporting Manager, you will be part of the Global tax Team and report to the Senior Group Tax Reporting & Compliance Manager. In this role you support in all aspects of tax reporting and compliance. In addition, the job holder will also be required to assist the broader Group Tax function with other areas of tax as required, including tax risk and governance, international and UK tax advice, and ad hoc project work.

Key duties will include:

  • Assist with the production of interim and annual Group consolidated tax charge as well as associated disclosures in the Group Annual Report & Accounts. This includes reviewing submissions from the business and consolidation into the Group Accounts.
  • Manage and review the Group’s consolidated quarterly tax charge.
  • Support with the preparation of the quarterly tax charge for Group Holding entities.
  • Assist with the Group’s regulatory reporting on a quarterly basis.
  • Prepare and review the Group’s consolidated tax charge quarterly rolling forecasts.
  • Assist with UK and International tax compliance tasks where needed.
  • Assist with the calculation of the UK Group’s quarterly payments on account.
  • Assist with the review and maintenance of the UK tax group’s tax payment position, ensuring that payments are allocated across the UK companies to optimise the Group’s interest position.
  • Work closely with tax teams within the wider Group to ensure the Group Tax function create a constructive working relationship with other teams, with collaboration and sharing of best practice.
  • Follow the tax governance process, adhering to Bupa’s agreed tax risk appetite.
  • Assist the Tax Risk & Governance Manager with tax risk reporting and governance, such as Senior Accounting Officer (SAO).
  • Analyse and use data to manage tax risks and provide insights and opportunities.

About you:

  • ACA or CTA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven tax reporting experience
  • UK Corporate Tax trained (Big 4 or top 10 firm)
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to interrogate and map data.
  • Commercial experience preferred but not essential.
