Location: Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus

Salary (Grade 8): £44,239 to £56,903 inclusive of London Weighting with the potential to progress to £63,706 per annum inclusive of London Weighting (Pro-rata if Part-time)

Hours: Full-time/Part-time

Contract Type: Fixed-term (12 months)

Brunel Medical School welcomed its first intake of students in September 2022. The MBBS programme has a number of distinctive features, including team-based learning, programmatic assessment, clinical anatomy using a collection of plastinated specimens and radiological imaging and early exposure to patients in community settings. A range of digital technologies are being used to enhance learning, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are embedded across all aspects of the student experience.

The post is for a period of one year, either as an out-of-programme experience or stand-alone experience. Full time is preferred but part-time may be considered.

Applicants should be individuals from any clinical discipline who are fully registered with the General Medical Council and have a keen interest in medical education. You will have completed your Foundation Year 2 training and be within 4 years of graduation.

Successful applicants will join a team of Medical Education Fellows and work collaboratively to contribute to various aspects of the programme. This may include teaching clinical skills, communication skills or anatomy. Other areas of contribution may include curriculum development, assessment and student selection. In-house training will be provided.

These Medical Education Fellow positions represent an excellent opportunity to be part of the growing team developing and delivering an innovative MBBS programme for the newest medical school in London. The experience gained will enhance your medical education portfolio. Funding is available towards costs for those keen to pursue a post graduate education qualification.
