Salary: £45,000-£50,000
The role:
- Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming.
- Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
- Control and minimize waste on site.
- Identify/assist in introducing new processes, techniques, and innovations on site.
- Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.
- Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
- Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors.
- Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.
- Undertake material reconciliations.
- Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.
- Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.
- Produce 2D & 3D site sketches.
- Support the Site Agent in project planning and coordination.
- Coordinate subcontractors to meet project deadlines.
- Draft, review, and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Develop and implement Inspection Test Plans (ITP's).
- Ensure adherence to ITP's and engineering standards.
- Update project schedules and attend coordination meetings.
- Ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Raise design-related inquiries and technical questions.
- Maintain accurate records including site diaries and quality assurance documents.
About you:
- Advanced setting out techniques.
- Relevant Civil Engineering experience (Preferred Highways, will accept experience in Rail, water or aviation).
- Problem solving skills.
- NVQ Level 3 or higher.
- SMSTS.
- Relevant CSCS card.
- Office 365 expertise/CAD.
