Job Overview:
We’re looking for a Trade Counter Sales Advisor to join our team at Plumbase Manchester. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with trade counter, customer service, or builders’ merchant experience. You’ll be serving customers, building quotes, offering product advice, and taking ownership of sales performance on site. There is a strong customer focus, and you'll also support efforts to increase account spending and re-engage with lower-spend customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serving trade customers and cash account visitors face-to-face
- Quoting, advising, and upselling a wide range of plumbing and heating products
- Using your product knowledge to provide accurate information
- Managing product displays, stock levels, and pricing strategies
- Building strong relationships with trade customers—from sole traders to contractors
- Taking ownership over your area of the site and contributing to its success
- Supporting customer deliveries, including picking and packing
- Supporting revenue growth by identifying opportunities to increase customer spend
- Occasionally attending meetings or events to strengthen key relationships
