Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a School Cleaner at one of our Schools in Leyland. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Clean and sanitise surfaces, classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Empty and dispose of bins in designated areas
• Ensure they are kept clean, stocked with supplies, and sanitised regularly.
• Monitor and replenish soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed
• Maintain the cleanliness of various flooring surfaces, including carpets and hard floors.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and materials to achieve high standards.
• Handle occasional specialised cleaning tasks, such as window cleaning and high-dusting.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines for all cleaning activities.
• Coordinate with other cleaning staff to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning coverage.
• Communicate effectively with school staff to address specific cleaning requirements.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines.
• Identify and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift/move cleaning equipment and supplies.
