At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a CS&A Technician, at our Warrington, Stoke Gifford or Rosyth site.
The role:
- As a Civil, Structural and Architectural Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will join our design team to tackle Civil, Structural, or Architectural projects, developing innovative solutions for diverse design challenges.
- Day-to-day, you’ll deliver nuclear design work, inspections, and construction site support for public and private sector projects in the UK and overseas.
- Prepare designs for facilities, structures, and infrastructure using Autodesk products (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) throughout various design stages.
- Collaborate with integrated multi-disciplinary teams to deliver design solutions and promote effective cooperation across design and functional teams.
- Maintain effective client communication and design presentation methods.
- Assist and mentor CS&A Apprentices and Technicians to promote their technical and professional development.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This full-time role, 37 hours per week, provides flexible hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office and the remaining days working from home.
Essential experience of the CS&A Technician:
- Experience across the full lifecycle of design activities.
- Knowledge of CAD tools and BIM processes.
- Knowledge of General Engineering and Architectural Drawing Practice.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
Qualifications for the CS&A Technician:
- HNC minimum in a relevant discipline or equivalent academic qualification.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
