We are currently recruiting a Community Care Team Leader to support and lead a team of Community Care Drivers with new contracts we have in the Bristol, Swindon and Gloucester areas. The Team Leader will support the Operations Manager with the βday to dayβ operational delivery in support of EMED goals, with a clear focus on performance delivery. Ensuring all quality and governance requirements meet objectives and performance targets.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, variable hours with some requirement to be on-call
Location: Bristol - with travel to Swindon and Gloucester

Role Responsibilities
- Business Performance and Service Delivery β Deliver excellent customer service by ensuring the prompt departure of Community Care Assistants from base.
- Compliance β Assist the Compliance Team with daily, weekly and monthly Health and Safety base checks to ensure that the base and any equipment is fully compliant at all times.
- Fleet β Liaise with the Fleet supervisor to ensure that all vehicles are suitable for road use and undertake vehicle checks to ensure that performance and hygiene is optimal.
- Data Management β Ensure that personal data management systems are kept up to date with all employeesβ details to ensure the accuracy of payroll and annual leave.
- KPIs β Support the Contract Manager with delivery of KPIβs, providing innovative ideas for improvement.
- Budgets β Assist the Contract Manager to ensure the effective management of all resources.
- People Management β Conduct probationary reviews with Community Care Assistants in line with Company policy.
- Employee Relations Support β Complete thorough and fair investigations prior to disciplinary, delivering a succinct and solid case to the disciplinary chair when completed.
- Recruitment β Participate in recruitment and selection processes, ensuring personal adherence to policies and procedures.
- Training β Ensure all areas of the contract deliver excellent patient service by delivering Annual Skills Development training and conducting driving assessments as and when required.
- Ad-hoc β Attend weekly management meetings, providing suitable data as required. Provide the Contract Manager with data in a timely manner. Conduct property risk assessments as and when required to ensure safe and suitable access for Ambulance Crews.
- Health and Safety β Ensure that the workplace is safe for everyone by taking reasonable care not to do anything that might endanger you or others.

What are we looking for?
- A minimum of one year recent management/supervisor experience.
- The ability to build strong, effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Meticulously organised with a proven track record of successfully reaching deadlines.
- A full valid UK driving licence, with less than 3 penalty points.
