The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Shift: 4 on 4 off Days 7am-7pm

Pay: £18.75 per hour - £41,000 per year + Overtime Available

Location: Stockton-On-Tees

I am working with a national haulage business in their search for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team to perform essential maintenance and repairs on their fleet of vehicles, which consists predominantly of DAF and Volvo.

The HGV Technician role is vital to ensure vehicle reliability, compliance, and safety standards to maintain customer satisfaction.

HGV Technician responsibilities:
  • Service, maintain, and repair tractor units and trailers to the minimum requirements of DVSA guidelines in line with company procedures.
  • Accurately complete all relevant maintenance and compliance documentation to DVSA standards.
  • Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections.
  • Perform diagnostics and defect rectifications.
  • Carry out repairs to the fleet as required.
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and inventory.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure seamless service for customers.
HGV Technician Skills and Competencies:
  • Knowledge of legislation on vehicle roadworthiness and MOT management.
  • Strong commitment to and understanding of Health and Safety standards in the workplace.
  • Desire to produce high-quality work with attention to detail.
