The Opportunity Ford & Stanley Talentwise are looking for a Maintenance Technician to work at a globally recognised rail business, at one of their strategically located sites in Cambridge. Our client is looking for a multiskilled technician who will complete reactive and preventative maintenance on the rail facility and internal machinery, enabling the business to increase their workload capacity operationally.

Location: Cambridge

Salary: GBP44,000 - GBP51,000

Shifts: Working afternoon shifts, averaging 35 hours per week. 1 week per month will be on call.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Technicians are required to complete fault finding and planned preventative maintenance, to ensure the facility can operate and ensure guests can enjoy their day out.
  • Follow electrical schematics to ensure components are installed / maintained correctly.
  • Ensure planned preventative maintenance is completed in accordance with timescales.
  • Complete fault finding to ensure machines are running correctly and safely.
  • Confident and able in working from heights (full training provided).

The Candidate

  • The ideal candidate will have vast experience within site maintenance in an FMCG or manufacturing background.

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) minimum qualification in an electrical discipline.
  • Site maintenance experience.
  • Able to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematic diagrams.
  • Must be able to pass a rail standard medical and drug + alcohol exam.
