Teaching Assistant / Outreach – Cosham If you a Teaching Assistant / Outreach Worker currently living in the Cosham/Portsmouth area and you are looking to work with children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, please read! Academics are seeking a passionate and empathetic Teaching Assistant who are happy to work alone in a classroom and on outreach basis, visiting students in their own homes. Due to the nature of the role, they are looking for someone who drives and has access to their own vehicle (travel expenses will be paid). You will be required to work with a successful SEMH School in Cosham which caters for pupils from KS2-KS4 with social, emotional and mental health needs, and other associated needs such as autism. You will be working with pupils in a school setting and also be required to visit pupils homes to encourage them into school or an environment suitable for learning. The schools have various sites across Portsmouth, all with their own specialism. You may be required to travel between the sites if needed. They have an urgent need for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join them ASAP on a full-time supply contract.
