New Directions are seeking compassionate teaching assistants to work in our schools in and around Dyserth, Denbighshire. We have multiple positions available ranging from day-to-day work and long-term roles.
As a teaching assistant, you will play an important role in supporting students within primary and secondary school settings. Your responsibilities will include providing support to students either in a group or 1:1 setting. You will also assist with classroom activities. It is also important that you are providing a positive learning environment for students to thrive.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children with additional learning needs to help them achieve their full potential.
- Helping to prepare classrooms for lessons.
- Making sure that learning materials and resources are available for effective teaching and learning.
- Providing an environment where students feel motivated to learn and succeed.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 months experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Enthusiasm for the role and dedication to working with children.
- A DBS that is enhanced and on the update service, or willingness to run a DBS.
- Registration with the education workforce council.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
