About the Role
Are you ready to play a vital part in shaping and maintaining the roads and public spaces of your community? We're looking for a Network Steward to join our dynamic highways and infrastructure team. In this role, you'll take ownership of highways inspections, enforcement, and maintenance across a designated area, ensuring that public infrastructure is safe, compliant, and in top condition. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about public service, street scene standards, and delivering high-quality work in a visible, impactful role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the inspection, maintenance, and improvement of highway infrastructure in your area.
- Carry out routine safety inspections, license checks, and respond to utilities queries.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, businesses, and stakeholders.
- Conduct utility inspections under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.
- Enforce standards under the Highways Act 1980 and Environmental Protection Act 1990.
- Issue notices for improperly parked vehicles and ensure swift resolution of public concerns.
- Ensure all enquiries are acknowledged or actioned within 48 hours.
