Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Operations Executive for a busy well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Staines-upon-Thames area.

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with some experience using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) system, capable of efficiently preparing and cutting airline documents, and able to think quickly on their feet to resolve issues as they arise. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment to support our time critical operation. This role will be working Monday - Friday, (working hours to be agreed) with rolling weekend cover (on call) one weekend evening a month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) system to prepare and submit customs declarations accurately and efficiently.
  • Cut and process airline documentation, ensuring all paperwork complies with relevant regulations and company standards.
  • Monitor and manage shipments from start to finish, troubleshooting any issues promptly.
  • Thinking quickly and adapting to changing priorities or unexpected challenges during the process.
  • Collaborate with airlines, customs officials, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) system is essential.
  • Previous experience preparing airline documentation is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Quick thinker with problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
