Part-Time Teacher of Maths – Northampton

Salary (Pro Rata): £20,092.20 – £23,964.60 per annum (salaried) OR £17.92 – £21.38 per hour (sessional)

Contract: Part-time (3–4 days per week, flexible)

Location: Northampton

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Maths to join our dedicated team on a part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality Maths teaching and improving outcomes for young people. You’ll be joining a supportive department where your contribution will make a real impact.

Availability: We have several part-time roles available, either on a salaried or sessional basis, working 3 to 4 days per week. Specific availability can be discussed further if shortlisted for interview.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective GCSE Maths lessons
  • Lecture and train students to meet high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
  • Work closely with the Head of School to support curriculum development
  • Act as a course tutor for part-time or full-time student groups, including attendance monitoring and student support
  • Support the planning and evaluation of Maths courses and contribute to student success

What We’re Looking For:

  • Educated to Level 3 or above in Maths or a relevant subject area
  • Holds or is willing to work towards a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent qualification
  • A strong understanding of the GCSE Maths curriculum
  • Experience in a Further Education setting is desirable
  • A positive, student-focused approach with excellent communication skills
