My Halesowen based client are looking for a Document Controller to join their team on a temporary basis for 3-4 months to join their Nuclear Team. You will be responsible for providing all Document Control Assurance aspects to the Civil Nuclear bid and Product Realisation processes. Facilitate maintenance and storage of nuclear documentation in line with the Business Management System (BMS) procedures for the company.

Duties:

  • Be the focal point and responsible for issuing and receiving nuclear project documentation to and from the customer and supply chain using a document transmittal notice (DTN) process.
  • Maintain the DTN register and ensure timely management of documents within the document control function, both internally and externally.
  • Progress chase documentation internally and externally to meet 15-day turnaround requirements.
  • Be accountable for the maintenance of nuclear project lifetime records (LTR) folders and sub-folders, including those extracted from the supply chain.
  • Attend weekly project meetings, providing a status update on document transmittal and LTR status, and escalate issues of concern.
  • Manage supplier document registers and maintain and communicate status as required.
  • Ensure the safe and secure storage of nuclear project documentation within cabinets.
  • Coach and mentor other staff in civil nuclear document control aspects, including sales, product engineering, project managers, and apprentices.

Key Skills:

  • Experience within the nuclear sector is advantageous.
  • Essential: You are a UK national due to security clearance requirements for working within the nuclear sector.
