EL/PL Team Leader -Solicitor
Location: Hybrid / Manchester (One day per week in office)

Simpson Millar are actively recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to join our EL/PL Litigation Team on a permanent basis.
Under the supervision of the Head of Department, you will drive excellence: conducting 1-2-1\’s, performance and case reviews, to ensure that all cases are managed to agreed processes, and that key performance indicators are being met and/or exceeded by all team members.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with 1 day a week in our Manchester office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Day to day management of direct reports which includes, but not limited to, holiday and absence capacity
• Ensuring that approved ways of working and lifecycles are adopted and adhered to
• Be the Senior Solicitor for the team (where qualified)
• Direct supervision and management of team members in conjunction with Head of Department, in line with regulatory requirements and the firms organisational design principals
• Conducting regular 1-2-1s in line with the Communication Support Cycle framework
• Implementing and managing the governance framework and meeting cycle for the team
• Conducting necessary supervisor file reviews
• Conducting regular Case Clinics
• Development Leader in ensuring regulatory compliance and Lexcel accreditation
Although the Team Leader will not carry a caseload of their own, it is essential that that you have previous EL/PL Litigation experience as you will be the technical expert supporting, guiding and developing all team members to enhance their performance.
