Class 2 Shunter/Warehouse Operative

Location: Basildon

Salary: £23,242.05 per year

Late Shift Premium: £28.85 per shift

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
  • Friday: 3:00 pm – 10:15 pm
  • During Trade Show Periods (December to mid-February):
  • Monday to Thursday: 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm
  • Friday: 1:00 pm – 8:15 pm

Shunting Duties:

  • Moving Class 2 demount vehicles on and off-loading bays
  • Swapping boxes between vehicle bodies efficiently
  • Ensuring vehicles are parked correctly and safely within the Yard
  • Supporting the upkeep and cleanliness of the fleet

Warehouse Duties:

  • Picking & Packing orders efficiently
  • Goods In / Goods Out processing, including receiving and dispatching goods
  • Loading & Unloading lorries for deliveries and stock replenishment
  • General Warehouse Duties such as maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 2 driving license
  • CPC and Taco
  • Experience in warehouse or shunting work preferred but not essential
  • Flexible to work during trade show period shifts
  • Reliable, hardworking, and a team player
