Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Adult Care Tutor who is focused on learning and delivering high-quality, supportive, and engaging qualifications to candidates enrolled in their programmes in Midlands and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will deliver Adult Care qualifications up to level 3 or 5.
Main Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for a caseload of 30 - 40 learners.
- Engage and support learners in face-to-face settings, with some blended delivery and workplace observation, to achieve qualifications in a timely manner.
- Manage a caseload of learners effectively, meeting OFSTED and Awarding Bodies requirements in teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Manage caseloads to ensure that KPIs are met.
- Undertake induction, initial assessment, diagnostics, ILP, skills scans, and reviews with learners, ensuring feedback is provided and acted upon appropriately.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and course resources for delivering the qualifications.
- Maintain regular contact with employers throughout the full learning journey.
- Deliver and manage learning of the qualifications using an e-portfolio system.
- Embed functional skills in the delivery of the qualification and provide relevant support and guidance to meet the required standards.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with employers, Job Centre Plus, and other relevant agencies.
- Support learners through effective advice, guidance, and training to progress into sustainable employment, work placements, apprenticeships, or further education.
- Accurately and securely record learner progress, set targets, and agree on areas for improvement.
- Ensure learners achieve their qualifications within the agreed timescales.
- Embed British values, prevent, safeguarding, equality, and diversity throughout teaching.
Candidate Skills
- Experience teaching learners aged 16 and above.
- Experience assessing Adult Care qualifications up to level 3.
- Relevant occupational competency gained from working within the care sector.
- Experience delivering work-based training.
