iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting for a Children with Disabilities Social Worker to work for our client based in North and South Dorset.
Children’s Social Worker – CWAD Children with Disabilities Service
North and West Dorset
£42 per hour
- North and West Dorset
- working with children who have severe and complex needs, including Autism Spectrum conditions
- The team undertake Child and Family assessments of children who are disabled and their families.
- Working with families to address safeguarding concerns and working with Children in Care, whether full time or short break care
- Cases can be managed under child in need which can include short breaks out of the home and the provision of direct payments
- The work tends to be long term in nature
- Included in the Service is CWAD Support (Early Help) team and a paediatric Occupational Therapy Team – both of whom are available to support children who have eligible needs but do not necessarily require a Social Worker.
- You will be joining a stable service, where we have a culture of learning and sharing knowledge
- We also work with our colleagues in Adult Services to ensure young people are supported to transition successfully into adulthood.
The role is hybrid – some working from home and attending site visits when required, you will need to be flexible. You will be working in the North and West Dorset and covering a maternity leave.
