About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Class 2 Driver (several overnights are required each week) to join our transport team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and excellent driving skills. As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to builders merchants and small retail premises, often involving heavy lifting, in a timely and efficient manner. Providing outstanding customer service at each delivery is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class 2 vehicles to deliver goods to residential addresses.
- Handle heavy lifting and maneuver goods in and out of delivery vehicles with care.
- Ensure goods are delivered in line with customer requirements and company standards.
- Perform vehicle checks and routine maintenance to maintain safety and reliability.
- Complete relevant paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding any delays or issues.
What Weβre Looking For:
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence with no more than 6 penalty points (No IN's or DD).
- Proven driving experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of safety.
