An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated HCSW Nurse within the Dermatology Department at Queen Margaret Hospital. The successful applicant will be a Health Care Support Worker educated to SVQ 3 level. A genuine interest and experience in Dermatology Nursing are preferred.

The post holder will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience within a Dermatology Specialist role and contributes to the delivery of organisational objectives. This post is part-time, 22.5 hours per week. You may be required to work flexible shifts and occasionally cover both Dermatology Departments in Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, and Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, as the service requires.

If successful, you will have the opportunity to undertake an SVQ2 or SVQ3 in Health and Social Care, approximately 9 months after starting. This qualification will be fully funded by NHS Fife. Your Line Manager will provide more information once you are in post.

Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check than currently. If the role is assessed as a "regulated role," your appointment will be subject to joining the PVG Scheme. Any changes will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team. A requirement of this post is to become a member of the PVG Scheme prior to appointment.
