The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This role will provide essential support to the Group Salaries department during the Testing and Parallel Run phases of the HRIS Programme. It will involve backfilling critical daily payroll responsibilities across the entire payroll team prior to go-live. The position requires a high level of technical and organizational payroll processing ability beyond that of a standard Payroll Analyst. This enables the delegation of tasks from existing payroll team members, allowing them to focus on User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Parallel Runs, and training for the new HRIS system, Dayforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backfilling daily tasks and responsibilities within the payroll team to free up capacity for UAT and Parallel Run activities.
  • Monitoring and responding to enquiries in the shared payroll mailbox.
  • Completing complex payroll calculations, including:
  • Maternity Pay
  • Long-Term Sickness (LTS)
  • Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)
  • Leaver payments
  • Processing:
    • Starters and leavers
    • Statutory absences
    • Ad hoc data changes across 14 payrolls, including 1 weekly payroll and 2 pensioner payrolls
    • Pension-related changes across the same payrolls
    • Flexible benefit changes across all payrolls
    • Raising ad hoc advances and processing third-party payments.
  • Reviewing and checking team payroll processing for accuracy.
  • Conducting system audits between HR and payroll systems.
  • Performing month-end payroll controls prior to payroll release.
  • Running and reviewing payroll reporting suites across all payrolls at month-end.
