About the Department: The Business Intelligence team manages the entire reporting and analytics lifecycle, supporting finance, treasury, risk, and strategic planning. The team leverages analytics to enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and business value. Key Responsibilities: Promote analytics and BI initiatives across departments to foster a data-driven culture. Serve as a subject matter expert for data platforms and reporting tools, guiding stakeholders. Maintain and optimise reporting outputs, identifying areas for automation. Conduct ad-hoc analyses for business needs. Write complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation. Support transformation projects by providing insights and reporting capabilities. Lead analytics and AI-driven projects aligned with business strategy. Analyze performance data to identify trends and strategic opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements ensuring data accuracy. Advise on KPI development to support business goals. Stakeholder Relationships: Internal: BI and Data Analytics teams Business and operational users IT, Change, and Transformation teams External: Technology vendors and partners Data providers, including credit and financial sources Qualifications and Skills: Degree in a quantitative, scientific, or finance-related field Extensive experience in BI, analytics, or MI roles Strong SQL skills for large database queries and scalable code Expertise in Tableau and Power BI for dashboards and reports Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and modelling Proven ability to apply analytics to business impact Experience in financial services or regulated environments Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities Familiarity with agile methodologies and Jira Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes Experience evaluating external data sources Key Attributes: Motivated, proactive, and independent worker Organised, detail-oriented, and efficient Strong relationship-building and stakeholder influence skills Adaptable and committed to continuous improvement Excellent verbal and written communication Analytical and decision-making skills Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and support teamwork Attention to detail and data quality standards Risk and Compliance: Support fair outcomes and understand risk frameworks #J-18808-Ljbffr
