Micheldever Tyres is looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to be responsible for picking orders, loading and unloading vehicles and putting stock away. The role involves manual handling, heavy lifting duties and occasional Van or Forklift Truck driving duties.
Location: Exeter
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 04:00am-13:30pm

Training Opportunities: Micheldever has strong Development Routes Programme and general learning on health and safety and other warehouse/logistics related topics. You will have the opportunity to acquire a number of skills such as fork lift licence, first aid training etc. Various learning and development routes are also available to all staff.
About the role:
- Ensure all goods received and sent out are checked for faults and reported as required.
- Ensure high levels of count accuracy at Stock Audits, effectively communicating stock discrepancies, shortages or problem areas.
- Ensure any movement of goods within the Warehouse environment is efficient and accurate according to instruction.
- Ensure out-bound vehicles are loaded in a proper, safe manner, according to instruction, Company Practice and current legislation.
- Ensure all received stock is 'put-away' in the correct locations within the Warehouse and all goods due for dispatch are processed, picked and loaded correctly to customer order and DC requirements.
About you:
- We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic and good customer service skills.
- You will have an understanding of workplace Health & Safety and work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a similar fast-paced, physically demanding environment, Fork lift licence, Counterbalance or Reach Truck, ideal but not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
