BBQ Line Cashier - Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome each customer, processing their order accurately.
- Repeat the order to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction, either in person or via phone.
- Be knowledgeable of the menu and demonstrate suggestive selling.
- Use the register to track all transactions.
- Demonstrate accurate cash handling abilities.
- Package food correctly for dine-in and to-go orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and cash drawer.
- Follow all TABC regulations for responsible alcohol sales.
Education and/or Experience
- Food Handler Certificate required.
- TABC certification required—must be over 18 years old to sell alcohol.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to listen, read, write, and speak fluently in English for all job-related circumstances.
- Ability to perform basic math operations in all units of measure.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
