This role is to join our IGH Operational Transformation team, as a Manager, with a focus on our UK Healthcare Advisory practice, supporting provider / hospital improvement projects. These projects are often operational in nature, focussing on providing hands on support to the NHS to deliver UEC, elective and broader improvement programmes. The role can be based in anyone of our major regional offices in the UK (Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh/Glasgow). As a manager you will be central to the development of our account strategy as well as implementation of large scale public service reform, sustainable performance improvement and large scale transformation programmes. What will you need to do it? You will be a talented and ambitious Senior Consultant or Manager with previous operational improvement, system redesign or workforce transformation experience either from consulting, the NHS, local government, private healthcare or a life sciences company. You may also be from a different sector, with easily transferable experience in LEAN, large scale transformation or similar disciplines. You will have the credibility and experience to lead KPMG and client teams to appraise, plan and deliver complex service change across health and local government. You will have a good understanding of the policy agenda and demonstrate a strong desire to support practice development. Essential skills: • Ability to lead KPMG project teams delivering client engagements • Ability to translate cultural changes into quality, safety, financial and sustainable outcomes • Robust knowledge of the NHS and plans for its future • Ability to be pragmatic and innovative in problem solving, including Lean-based Improvement techniques • Ability to coach others and drive forward a team to successfully bring about positive change • With support of KPMG leadership, the ability to identify risk and manage commercial and client delivery risks in a high-pressure environment • Project Management skills including planning and prioritise work within deadlines • Ability to demonstrate an ability to forge and successfully maintain relationships • Be outcome focused, enthusiastic and self-motivated • Possess excellent written and verbal communication and reasoning skills • Have an awareness of Lean transformation (desirable) • Understand, adhere to and promote quality and risk management standards Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras: Ideally degree level qualified or able to demonstrate equivalent experience. Professional project management, programme management or clinical qualifications are desirable.
