Our public sector client based in Plymouth are recruiting for a court usher (Band F) to join their team as a temporary employee. This is currently a temporary role until 31/12/24 with a good chance of being extended. This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Your usual working hours will be between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm (dependent on business need). The location for this role is PL1 2ER. This role is fully onsite due to the nature of the work.

As a court usher you will be responsible for a smooth running of the courts. Fantastic customer service skills will be required for this role, you will be speaking with people from all walks of life. Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Setting up the court rooms (water, pads, pens etc)
  • Ensuring correct schedule for the court rooms
  • Communicating with Judges etc
  • Collating court files and papers
  • Giving directions to court rooms
  • Recording outcomes
  • Data entry

Candidates with strong face to face customer service experience will be considered for this role. Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check (free of charge).
