The Role: We are looking for an experienced Panel Maker to join our growing production team. Youβll be working in a workshop/manufacturing environment, fabricating and fitting internal and external panels as part of the motorhome build process. This is a hands-on, detail-focused role ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture and install internal and external wall panels using materials such as plywood, GRP, composite sheets, aluminium, and insulation
- Cut, trim, and shape panels to size using saws, routers, and other tools
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ensure accuracy, alignment, and finish of fitted panels
- Operate safely with hand tools, adhesives, sealants, and fixings
- Collaborate with joiners, electricians, and other trades during vehicle assembly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the workshop
Requirements:
- Previous experience in panel making, vehicle body building, caravan/motorhome manufacturing, or similar
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and finish a variety of materials
- Skilled in using power tools and workshop equipment
- Able to follow technical drawings and job specs
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Comfortable working as part of a fast-paced team
- Good physical fitness β manual handling is part of the role
Desirable:
- Experience working with GRP, aluminium, or composite materials
- Background in vehicle fit-outs, joinery, or bespoke interiors
- NVQ Level 2/3 or similar in a relevant trade (e.g. Carpentry, Coachbuilding, Fabrication)
