Job Description
Our client, a reputable subcontractor specialising in Joinery, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in their office in Essex. This is a great opportunity for someone with sector knowledge in joinery, drylining, flooring or ceilings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the commercial and contractual requirements across multiple joinery packages
- Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts
- Assess subcontractor accounts, variations, and payments
- Monitor costs against budget and report commercial performance
- Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, project managers, and site teams
- Support the tendering and pre-construction process when required
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, coming from a subcontractor’s environment.
- Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts.
- Excellent numeracy, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.
- Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
- Based in office or on site
- Qualification is Quantity Surveying is an advantage.
Package:
- Salary £60k.
- Private Health Care after 12 months service
- Pension – After 3 months service
- Hours 8am – 5pm
- 20 days annual leave increasing by 1 day per years’ service
- Mobile allowance monthly
