Warehouse Operative

Our client, a small well-established family run business are looking for a Packer to join their busy and expanding team . The work involves good organisational skills as well as numeracy and being able to work to deadlines with a good written and verbal communication skills. The hourly rate for this position is £12.50ph Monday to Friday 08.00-14.30 (1/2 hour unpaid lunch) 30 working hours. Occasionally you will need to cover staff holidays so need to have the flexibility to work from 06.00 – 14.30 The work will involve: Making sure all company health and safety regulations and safe systems of work are adhered to. Use of pallet truck to move goods around the warehouse. (Training will be given) Packing customer orders manually and the use of packing machinery. (Training will be given) Working in a safe manner and making sure the working environment is kept clean and tidy. Smoothly and conscientiously working with colleagues. Any other work that needs doing that will help with the smooth running of the business. The nature of this job entails repetitive manual handling. Full training given, previous experience in packing would be advantageous. The position comes with standard benefits including free parking and supply of PPE. The site is in a rural location with poor public transport links, so your own vehicle or valid driving licence is required. This is a temp to perm position.
