About The Role We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Projects Delivery Engineer to join our Estates Team. The role involves managing and overseeing electrical and mechanical installation projects across the University campus. You will act as a key liaison between the Principal Contractor and mechanical and electrical subcontractors, assessing the quality of installation and design compliance. Additionally, you will collaborate with design consultants to develop pragmatic and viable design solutions when issues arise on site or during the contractor design stage. You will work with other members of the project delivery team and the asset management team to ensure integration at key stages of construction and commissioning, ensuring the successful delivery of projects to high standards. The role involves working on a varied portfolio of projects, mainly refurbishments and adaptations across the campus. Given the University\’s infrastructure and engineering-led buildings, assessing the quality of mechanical and electrical installations is critical to project success. About You You should have significant experience in delivering and overseeing mechanical and electrical projects, with a detailed understanding of assessing mechanical and electrical assets. You must demonstrate robust reporting techniques and a tenacious approach to resolving issues on site. Knowledge of consultant/contractor design drawings and applying this knowledge during quality reviews is essential. You should possess knowledge of the construction process, project procedures, and relevant legislation, including British Standards, Building Regulations, and Health and Safety regulations affecting the University sector. Most importantly, you should be self-motivated, communicative, and results-oriented.
