Geo Environmental Engineer

Great opportunity for an ambitious engineer to work in a growing company, with a structured career path. My client is looking for a Geo Environmental Engineer (they can consider recent graduates and candidates with up to 3 years of experience) to work on a variety of projects. To date, they have undertaken a wide range of projects including investigations of former gas works, petrol stations, landfills, chemical works, government sites, airports, and water works, as well as schools, hospitals, and greenfield sites. In summary, the role will include a range of site investigation tasks and daily responsibilities: Consulting geological maps, environmental maps, and other relevant data to advise on site risks for Phase 1 through Phase 3 assessments; Performing geotechnical and geo-environmental analysis of site data using specialised computer software or calculations; Undertaking or supervising site works and ground investigations, including soil description, classification, and sampling; Collating data and producing interpretive geotechnical and geo-environmental reports and factual reports; Overseeing the progress of specific contracts, pricing new jobs, and communicating with clients; Planning detailed site investigations through drilling and analysis of samples of deposits or bedrock; Conducting environmental monitoring, mainly gas and groundwater monitoring; Liaising with clients and undertaking site visits and meetings.
