As a Senior Staff Nurse, you'll play a vital role in the Paediatric Neuro-rehab & Complex Care team:

  • Support and mentor junior nurses, guiding them with your clinical expertise
  • Lead the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse
  • Develop and evaluate holistic care plans for children in partnership with a multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in audits and quality improvement projects
  • Ensure high standards of clinical governance and patient care
The ideal Senior Staff Nurse candidate will have:
  • NMC Child Registered Nurse qualification with immediate paediatric life support
  • Experience in Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and complex care
  • Proven ability to supervise and assess students and lead shifts
  • Experience with tracheostomised patients is a plus
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding issues
  • A background in teaching and mentoring
  • Excellent communication skills and clinical governance experience
